Portuguese Seafood Cataplana & Cooking Class
3h Cooking Lesson, Min. 2 PAX
With almost 2000 km of coast, Portugal has a wide and rich sea, with varied species of fish.
Maybe that is the reason why we are the country which consumes more fish in the European Union and the third worldwide.
Fish such as sardines, hake, seabass or codfish, arrive at the tables of the Portuguese, in 1001 different manners.
Always paying attention to the sustainability of the experiences it grants, Cook in Ribeira gives you the opportunity of getting to know the treasures of the national sea.
Under the guidance of our Chef instructor Cataplana Cooking Class is an hands-on class, designed for novice and accomplished cooks.
With our Fish Experience, you will learn how to recognise the freshest fish and how to prepare it as a real Chef!
Cataplana pan is a peculiar and unique Portuguese cooking utensil.
Certain that the Cataplana arises from the Arab occupation in the Iberian Peninsula, we maintain the tradition of cooking fish, meat and seafood in this artisanal pressure cooker.
Come and learn how to cook with simplicity, using the best local ingredients and enjoy tasting them, while drinking good Portuguese wine.
